Geno's
Job
Let's see...this is kinda complicated. I work for a contracting
company called VANITE located in Buhl, Idaho. Yes, that's right,
Buhl, Idaho. My boss, Terry, shows cattle across the United
States and shares a small vineyard with a couple my friends,
Rick and Jennifer.
In actuality, I'm working for a company called Cimlinc
(not any more...they went broke) based out if Itasca, IL.
Cimlinc creates (created) "paperless" manufacturing software
(Process Planning, Nonconformance Management, Engineering Change,
etc...) and specializes (specialized) in Aerospace & Defense
companies. One of Cimlincs mottos is "Do it right on the Shop
Floor." Here's the kicker, I'm not working in Itasca, I'm working
in Seattle at Boeing.
Boeing has partnered with CIMLINC (along with other vendors
such as HP, Oracle, IBM, Baan, SDRC, Iona and Sequent) in order
to simplify and reduce the complexity of their legacy systems.
This project is BIG. I've been on this project since July 1995
and it's scheduled to continue until 200? something.
So, what do I do? I design, develop, code, implement &
support a wide variety of software and databases in a UNIX /
NT environment.

to see what I've done in the past.
