Green Bean to the Biking Scene

Alpe D' Huez Here's a picture of my roadbike. It's a 1997 Lemond Alpe D' Huez. When I bought it, I upgraded the shifters to Chorus and the pedals to Speedplay Frogs. I was riding my bike into work once or twice a week, but lately I've been riding after work or on the weekends. Check out Greg Lemonds Homepage for more bicycle information (I almost bought the Zurich, but it was quite pricey).

RockHopper Well, I've had this baby for about 8 years. It's a specialized RockHopper mountainbike. I just recently upgrade all the componemts to LX because the old ones were old (actually I broke my chain climbing a hill and it pissed me off). Good thing I had just purchased a chain toolkit...I was able to fix the chain and ride home...rather slowly.

I shoulda been in the 1998 Tour De France, but they didn't know who I was???

If you ever move to Seattle and get into biking, there's the Cascade Bicycle Club, which is one of the largest and most popular clubs in the NorthWest. These guys have group rides for all levels.

Once you familiarize yourself with Seattle, feel free to take a ride on the Burke-Gilman Trail. This trail has connectors with many bike paths and can get you just about any where you wanna go in Seattle (as long as you're willing to pedal).
